As with most breeders, we have a few terms and conditions associated with the sale of a kitten. To start with, ShimmerPurrs reserves the right to pick and choose the buyer at our discretion and to refuse to sell to anyone. No reason has to be given. If buyer pays a deposit on a kitten and later decides for ANY reason not to take kitten, then buyer forfeits the deposit. Refund will only be given if something should happen to kitten beyond seller's control. Then either a full refund will be issued, or buyer can pick another same quality kitten from seller if one is available or buyer can apply deposit to a kitten from a future litter. Buyer's choice. We usually start accepting deposits when kittens are 4 weeks old. At no time will a kitten be held for more than 12 hours without a deposit being paid. I'm sorry but I have lost several sales by waiting on people to send a deposit "tomorrw & then the next day" which doesn't come.
Kittens are ready to go when they are between 8 and 12 weeks old. All our adults have been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV and tests have all been negative. We do not offer any guarantee against either disease or any positive test for either disease on a kitten at any time. Research has shown that testing a kitten under 6 months of age can and usually does show a false positive. When parents are negative then kittens are negative when they leave our home. We have no control over what kittens are exposed to when they leave us. We also do not guarantee against any type of parasite or fungus, either internal or external as all animals can get these. We do required medicines to keep this from happening. Again we can't control what they are exposed to when they leave us. We do offer a guarantee for any genetic defect that your vet may find, providing you have kitten examined by time of business close the next business day after purchase. No other guarantee applies. Also no refund at any time after kitten leaves buyer. If a genetic defect is found then another kitten will be provided of same or better quality from same or another litter if available or if not available now, from first future litter. Seller is NOT responsible for any vet bills at any time nor any travel expenses at any time. Seller reserves right to contract buyers vet and also at sellers expense take kitten to sellers vet.
